Have you gone for a shore dive and have lost your entry/exit points? Have you lost the anchor rope on a boat dive? Have you endured a long surface swim back to the boat due to poor navigation?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the SSI Navigation course is for you. In fact, this course is considered a necessity for anyone looking to refine the directional skills.
You will learn all about Compass navigation, using natural landmarks and terrain, and special navigation situations – it’s all covered in the SSI Navigation Diver course. Aquatic Explorers highly qualified SSI instructors will lead you in all the practical underwater exercises and help you develop the skills to become even more comfortable and relaxed underwater in the knowledge that you know where you are at all times.
Prerequisites
- Open Water certification
- minimum 15 years of age
- current diving medical (12 months)
- must have logged 12 dives post open water certification
