TDI Advanced Nitrox Procedures
(EAN 21 - 100% No Decompression to 40 msw)
This course trains divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring stages decompression to a maximum depth of 40 msw.
Student Pre-Requisites
Minimum age of 15 years, minimum of 25 logged dives and certification as a TDI Nitrox diver or equivalent (this program may be combined with the TDI Nitrox Diver Course)
Qualifications of Graduates
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are qualified to enroll in:
- TDI Decompression Procedures course (Air Deco to 45 msw)
- TDI Extended Range Diver Course (Air / EANx Deco to 55 msw)*
- TDI Trimix Diver course (Trimix to 60 msw)*
- TDI Closed Circuit Rebreather (Air Dilutent) Diver Course
(* ERD & Trimix students require BOTH Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures)
Required Course Minimums
Classroom / Briefing Hours - 6
Openwater Dives - 4 with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes
Required Subject Areas
Physics, Physiology, Oxygen Toxicity, Formula work, Equipment considerations, Dive Computers, Dive Tables, Dive Planning, Common Mixing Procedures, Decompression, Land Drills, In-Water Drills.
Required Equipment
Nitrox compatible cylinder & regulator, Pony bottle & regulator (both in Oxygen Service recommended), Nitrox Dive Computer recommended.
Graduation Requirements
Complete the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Exam, Complete all Open Water requirements safely and competently.
