TDI Decompression Procedures
(Air or Nitrox Decompression Diving to 45 msw)
This course trains divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression using the most common equipment requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures (including oxygen and nitrox) to a maximum depth of 45 msw.
Student Pre-Requisites
Minimum of 25 open water dives, be certified as Advanced Adventure / Advanced Open Water, or the equivalent at the discretion of the instructor, and experience in the environment in which the course is being presented.
Qualifications of Graduates
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are qualified to enroll in:
- TDI Extended Range Diver Course (Air / EANx Deco to 55 msw)*
- TDI Trimix Diver Course (Trimix to 60 msw)*
(* ERD & Trimix studenmts require BOTH Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures)
Required Course Minimums
Classroom / Briefing Hours - 6
Openwater Dives - 4 (2 dives over 30 msw)

Deco Stops vs Safetly Stops, Physics, Physiology, Decompression Options, Equipment Considerations, Dive Table vs Computers, Dive Planning, Decompression Procedures, Land Drills, In-Water Drills.
Required Equipment
Primary & Decompression Cylinders, SMB & Reel, redundant Depth Gauge and Timer
GraduationRequirements
Complete the TDI Decompression Procedures Diver Exam, Complete all Open Water requirements safely and competantly.
