After your Instructor Training you will get a chance to unwind & celebrate with a cruise on the beautiful Port Hacking river. This will include the cruise, lunch & perhaps a glass or 2 of champagne to toast your success.
 

Prerequisites

• Open Water Diver certification.

  OR: If you are already a diver but not certified contact Aquatic Explorers for details on recognition of prior learning.
  
  OR: Contact Aquatic Explorers to find out how easy it is to gain your Open Water Diver Certification.

• Be reasonably fit & in good general health.
•  A completed diving medical.
•  Minimum starting age 17. (You must turn 18 prior to being certified as a Dive Controller which will be approximately mid year). There is no maximum age. You are never too old for a Sea Change.
• Have the right attitude to become a Professional in the Diving industry. If you have this, everything else can be learnt!
• You need to have your own equipment. We provide exceptional prices on Scuba Packages and accessories when doing this program, including a substantial CashBack bonus. Equipment used must meet Australian Standards, be modern, functional & of Instructor quality. The equipment service courses you will do revolve around the latest generation of Aquatic Explorers store equipment. As a Dive Professional, employers will expect you to have invested in your own equipment for your future career. (Tanks can be provided)

OUR LOCATION – Information for our overseas & interstate candidates

Our store location is at beautiful Cronulla Beach. The facilities at Cronulla are what you would expect at a ‘World Class’ tourist resort. This is a truly beautiful place; kilometers of white sandy beaches only a ‘stones throw’ from the front door of Aquatic Explorers!
The store is located only 40 minutes by toll free road or 50 minutes by train from the centre of Sydney. Cronulla station is a short walk from the store. Fast, limited stop trains run every 30 minutes.

The climate is Summer 8 months of the year at Cronulla Beach, & even the short winter period is very mild.

The area is a sporting paradise. There is all year round Diving, Surfing, Swimming, Snorkeling, Spearfishing, Fishing, Golf, Mountain Biking, Football, Bush Walking, and Horse Riding.

Local Diving

Cronulla Beach is the divers Mecca of Sydney. There are 1st class dive sites right on our doorstep. Some of these are so famous that overseas dive directories list them as a ”must do”. Names such as Inscription Point, Shiprock, Bare Island & Oak Park are just a small sample of our local shore dive sites. When you come out on Voyager the entire coastline from Botany Bay to Port Hacking offers spectacular diving, from shallow colorful sponge gardens  to deep reefs & exciting wrecks.
They are all sensational & they are all here at Cronulla Beach.

Entertainment

At Cronulla Beach there are Restaurants, Bars, Clubs, Night clubs, Bands, Movies & Theatre. One of the biggest shopping complexes in the Southern Hemisphere is nearby.

On Site Accommodation

Our on site accommodation is directly above our dive store at the Cronulla Beach YHA. Training for a diving career cannot be easier when you simply walk out of your room & straight into the dive centre. The YHA has excellent facilities for a comfortable stay.

Rates are inexpensive & cater for all standards. (Accommodation not included)
