BOAT DIVES ON VOYAGER
There is nothing like diving from a boat, easy entry and exits, hot food and drinks between dives and the opportunity to see whales and dolphins up close. Being on the boat is a comfortable and relaxing day out on the water.
Aquatic Explorers Dive boat 'Voyager' leaves from Tonkin street wharf, Gunatamatta Bay wharf every Saturday and Sunday and special night dives during the week.
Tonkin street wharf is located at the end of Tonkin Street Cronulla, we have supplied a simple to read map on the left hand side to help people not familiar with the area.
The Boat leaves every weekend weather permitting, and the dive site is based on the weather forecast, experience level of divers.
Bookings are essential, and calling the store before leaving for the boat is recommended to confirm leaving times.
Aquatic Explorers runs one of the largest dive boats in Sydney, with a total length of 38ft and a beam of 12 ft.
The large size of Voyager and being a stable Cat Hull has allows us to have a total of 16 divers onboard and all their gear aboard with out everyone stepping on each others toes. The boat can actually hold 27 people for other functions like cruises or special functions that we hold in summer.
With a crusing speed of 20knots, Voyager has the advantage of having ample speed to get to dive sites, and back so you can enjoy the rest of your day at Cronulla beach, and this also allows us to run up to 3 dive charters a day with the same boat, with out rushing the divers.
To enhance the diving and overall convenience of diving from Voyager, we also have a large covered front cabin, a enclosed rear area to protect divers from the elements as well as a Galley, a shower and the all important Head (Toilet).
Voyager was re-powered early 2003, with twin 225 four stroke engines, no nasty fumes and silent running motors, so you can enjoy your day on the water even more. |
